We are located on the Bayside of US1 in beautiful Tavernier in the Florida Keys. Tavernier is between Key Largo and Islamorada in the area known as the Upper Keys, about 60 miles south of Miami, Florida. Tavernier, which is on the Southern end of Key Largo Key, is where the Keys history begins to show it's influence. It doesn't take a lot of imagination to derive the history of it's name. Famous with sailors of old days, you can bet. Most of Tavernier historically was farm land and pineapples were the main cash crop after salvaging ships began to become "socially unacceptable". In the area you will find several restored homes and historic landmarks that make just living here a historic or at least memorable event.
